Purpose This is a descriptive correlational research study to identify the factors influencing the college life adaptation of nursing students' sense of humor and humor style so that learning outcomes can be improved through college students' interest in the educational field. Methods The research subjects were selected from nursing students located in G-do, and data collection was conducted from October 01 to October 31, 2022. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 26.0 program. The general characteristics of the subjects were frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, Pearson's correlation, t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe test were used for correlation, and multiple regression was used for influencing factor analysis. Results There was a significant correlation between sense of humor, humor style and college life adaptation of nursing students, and the explanatory power of these variables for college life adaptation was 19.7%. Conclusions In order to increase the adaptation to college life, which is lowered due to the large amount of academic work, it is necessary to develop a teaching method that can improve the sense of humor and humor style that can arouse interest in the educational field. It is necessary to identify the style and apply it to the lecture.
